On July 10, 2021 we had our first work party at the rescue.  We had over 20 people show up and work hard for most of the day.  We power washed the outside stairs, demoed all the baseboards , doors, and trim, got a start on the kitchen and bathroom, knocked down all the framing in the basement, pulled out the oil furnace, removed the outside A/C compressor, ripped up most of the hardwood flooring, cut down a giant bush, cut down some dead trees and limbs, and found time for a little pizza.  Everybody who came deserves a shout out, and special thanks to Spartan Junk Removal, Jose Orellana and Sons Contracting, and theCHIVE Maryland.
